Season 1, Episode 1 - Stuart Larman (UAE Pro League)

In this episode we talk to Stuart Larman, the Director of Club Licensing and Development of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Pro League in Abu Dhabi.

We discuss challenges for football clubs in Asia, how clubs need to become commercially orientated and how they should be run more like businesses to be prepared for the future. We talk about fan engagement in different countries in Asia and the importance of improving the “product quality” to attract more fans to follow domestic leagues.

Stuart also discusses his personal career path leading him to FIFA followed by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and he shares his advice for everyone dreaming of a career in sports management.

Season 1, Episode 2 - Benjamin Tan (THAI LEAGUE)

In this episode we talk to Benjamin Tan, the Deputy CEO of the THAI LEAGUE and Director of Club Licensing of the Football Association of Thailand.

We discuss recent developments of football in Thailand, challenges for local clubs and fan engagement initiatives. 

Benjamin also offers his personal advice for people dreaming of a career in sports management that took himself to nearly every Asian country so far due to his former work with the Football Association of Singapore (FAS) as well as Asian Football Confederation (AFC). He also shares his top skills required for a successful career.

Season 1, Episode 3 - Ahmed Harraz (AD and formerly CAF)

In this episode we talk to Ahmed Harraz who is the Managing Director (Middle East and Africa) at Portuguese legal firm Almeida, Dias & Associados (AD) and a consultant for BALLYMPICS.

Previously, Ahmed spent more than 5 years with the Confederation of African Football (CAF) where he was the head of club licensing. From Ahmed’s perspective, club licensing should be perceived as a development tool for football clubs in Africa addressing crucial areas such as Sporting, Infrastructure and Finance. 

We also talk about unique challenges for football in Africa and Ahmed shares his view on skills required for a successful career in football management, especially  in Africa.

Season 1, Episode 4 - Yujal Shrestha (All Nepal Football Association)
In this episode we talk to Yujal, the Media Officer & Club Licensing Manager of the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA).
Would you like to know how the 2015 earthquake destroyed the National Stadium and affected sports in Nepal, how the country recovered and what the challenges are for local clubs including the lack of infrastructure, manpower and financing?
Yujal also tells us about passionate local fans who walk to matches and still pay for tickets despite their low household incomes.
